If there is saver available there is also standard. But you would be paying the standard price

Yes you can mix the 2.

Why don't you just try to select each flight and see that the site will allow you to do so.

i think I misunderstood.

I thought you were talking about round trip (one way saver, one way standard).

If you are talking about a stopover, unless all legs are saver, you're stuck with standard price for the whole trip.

That is strange but you should still be able to book it as a standard award if that is one leg of a larger ticket where the other leg is only standard.

What's the likelihood of IN or I opening up on this flight (Apr. 6 TLV-EWR)? Do other classes also open up as we get closer (i.e. does Z sometimes become a P?)

Yes. Z will become P much faster than I will become available.

If I book a Standard award and then cancel it, what class does it go back to? After cancelling it is there any chance that it becomes a Saver award? :)

Most likely standard, but still might now come back at all. Canceling an award ticket by UA doesn't 100% mean it would be released back into award availability/

Does Standard Availability relate at all to the specific fare classes still available? i.e. is a biz standard award R class? P class?
