Checked bag is a suitcase that gos under the plane. Not a carry on.
SQ is worth more than UA. Might not be a smart move

A checked bag is a bag that you check- as in give to them at check-in and get back after the flight (not a carry-on)

IME it go's off the FFN # linked to the reservation. At least thats what the desk agents said. You can give them ur FFN # and they see if a CC is linked to it/eligible for a checked bag

any way its booked is fine, the difference in value between amex mr & chase is so slim it really is minimal

I disagree... you can get multiple ink cards (maybe recently with Chase cracking down its indeed harder)... But with Amex you have to find an app with no language to get the same card...

copy pasted from United's site. Doesnt say anywhere that it must be booked with United. From these terms it seems that as long as the FFN & taxes are paid with the CC & entered on the reservation you can get a checked bag. If someone actually flew using LH or SQ miles & got a free bag please advise.

When booking through SQ/LH, UA can not see what cc you used.

Cant argue with that, however.. The last time I spoke with the desk agent they said they look at the FFN & see if its eligible. Could be a dumb rep & im blabbling further the dumb comments

Is a 1-hr layover in IST enough time with 2 adults/2 kids (TLV-IST-FRA)? I assume bags will go all the way through to final destination, so it's just about getting from one gate to the next?
