Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

How do you define rare?
I don't have a definition vis a vis award space.
I guess I would say less then one date available in 60 days when looking at the calendar is rare

From now through 11/30/17 there is one flight available. Tomorrow morning at 7:00am.
I call that rare and think it's something united should be ashamed of.

Dan, were you ever successful forcing UA to put together an itin with a few connections when it is not showing up online and have them price it point to point?

I consider my self a pro and I am literally wasting my time... Trying to connect a EWR-LAX leg in business award to LAX-SYD I already have on hold and it just does not work.

Did ANYONE ever succeed?

True. But there are other people on the forums that can help. Its Not such a complicating scenario.

IME you aren't able to do it anymore, unless it shows up online. Though I don't consider myself a pro, so you might want to wait for others to chime in.

I tried upgrading a paid ticket to J. Paid the 20,000 miles and $250 and was placed on a waitlist.
After an hour I regretted it, called up United and was removed from the waitlist. The 20,000 miles have not been returned to my account. Normal?

LOL, you are good! You know the right words. Yes I got them to do it in the old system. (I did not know that this is what I have to convince them, to play with old system, but the agent which finally did it for me explained me everything..)  But it was not the .com desk though.

Did it in the past with them?
