Does anybody know how to get around the 1year award ticket validation ?
I validated a ticket last year in June then I pushed it off till the following year may , now I realize I won't be able to go till late aug , when I called to change they said the ticket is only valid for 1 year is there anyway around this ?

Try cancelling them without a fee. Get your miles back. Rebook.

PUTPAC  is the  best way with US starnet  blocking.  also they didn't merge yet, so you can still book *A

I need 2 tickets today from LAS-EWR on a 3 pm flight. There are now 9 revenue seats available for purchase in economy. What's the chances they open them up for rewards? And when will they do it?
Or is it a option to book at later reward flight that has a connection on a saver award and then go standby on the earlier direct flight ?

I see an LH flight 8 days out which shows as available on the United site, but when calling to book they are saying that it's not true-time availabilty. Does that mean that it was at one point available, it's going to be available or does it not mean anything?

It means its not available.
Dan had luck with this by crying how disapointed he is.
Ask him for more details.

It's just a fluke in the system? or was it at one point available?

Was cut down tremendously. Doesn't mean there aren't still gaps...

...which are exploitable.

What exactly is your point?

...which are exploitable.

You've made that comment twice already, what exactly are you adding that meshugenner didn't already do above?
