I am trying to book a trip way in advance using UA miles on AC. But UA only lists 11 months out while AC from what I can see lists 12 months. Is there anyway around this? I guess this is an advantage to using Aeroplan miles?

United award flights

I have a reservation which I changed one of the flights from Business to Economy, the rep I spoke to refunded all the miles (87,500) instead of just 12,500 for the business portion but didn't cancel the ticket. The ticket is still ticketed and confirmed. Lets see what happens. Already made a dummy ticket with those (87,500) miles so United can't pull the miles back without calling first. Lets see what happens and if it stays this way. The partner airline still shows it as ticketed and confirmed as well. Free flight maybe.

What would happen if they caught on and wanted the miles back and you'd booked a ticket already?

I just had a similar experience:

I have a reservation and waitlisted for BusinessFirst.  Instead of deducting the 40k point difference they added 80k.  I didn't do anything and three days later they deducted everything (the 80k they added and the 40k they should've taken).

Just wait. I just took a roundtrip this summer from the US to TLV with a European stopover and open jaw in Business all for 55,000.

They don't always catch mistakes. ;)

I used United/Co miles 2 years ago and flew lufthanza,
are those flights eligible to receive lufthanza miles?

No. You don't earn miles on award tickets.

Nope. You don't earn miles on award tickets. Well, sometimes you do by accident. But that's a different story.

Is there still a $75 fee to change a reservation if it's for the same flight on the same day, and the only change is from standard award ticket to saver? Please help...  :-\

anyone have ideas how to get availability on united saver awards to tlv? Ive been looking for a few months already and nothing available for the dates I need in December. I need some ideas.
im looking to leave from ewr or phl (or jfk as a last resort) to tlv on December 18 (I would go on the 17th but I rather the 18th) I want to return on  dec 30 or 31 or Jan 1.
I have united miles and also amex points if that can help with any other airlines

United is known by opening saver award close to flight even now in the heavy season, however for December I would be very confident that something will open up, but not everyone likes to play around
also you may post in the thread for award flights and have luck someone should find for you.

Nothing to share. Sometimes they make a mistake and give you miles. End of story.

UA has been know to waive that fee IME if you get lucky and make a good and sympathetic reason for the change .
