I'm in need of 2 tickets and I see only availbilty for 1, is there a chance if I reserve one of them and search again I will find more of the same flight?
And what are my chance of finding 2 tickets if I call?

Always a chance of it opening up. Can't hurt to call.

Yep. Used to be almost a lock to get a business seat if you waited to day of flight. Now, it barely happens anymore.
I heard that it haves to do with 1K's complaining that upgrades were never available, also I heard that UA got fed up of people booking business class, and then cancel the day before the flight. Any of them true?

No idea but since when does United care about their FF? :P
Probably selling cheap cash upgrades.

About how much is it? I remember on ElAl I paid $250 to be upgraded to business. What are the UA CHEAP rates?

You can't transfer UA to AA if that's what you meant.

No set amounts. Depends if the UA system decides to try to sell it to you.

Can they be transfered to any other program? How many miles on economy to TLV?

I have a itin on hod 120k (OW) and i dont have enough miles in one account to book it all. i have enough in 2 accounts. They wont let me merge (duh) bec ones my name and one is my wifes name. though, they did say i need to send in paperwork that my jewish name is miriam and my english name is steve  :)

But i dont have the likes of that either.

Whats the problem? book two separate tickets and arrange seats so you both sit next to each other.

Maybe he doesn't know that little trick, so your reply may be cryptic. let me explain what you need to do.

Split the itinerary in the account where the reservation is held. Log into the other account that has the other miles, retrieve the reservation by locator number/name, and then book the ticket. It's that easy until you know about it.

the only risk you run into is that if you want to cancel the ticket, you will need to pay redepost fees twice.

appreciate bopth your helps.

I dont mind the sacasm. I already have them on reserve. Issue is that there the last two biz tickets available. They are not able to split the itin, bec its not ticketed yet. if it was ticketed it wouldnt be a big deal at all.

She said that she would need to call TK and ask them to split it, but likely chance of them doing that is slim being that i want to book using UA miles. She tried explaining to me that the problem with splitting the itin, is what they really do is cancel one of the 2 tickets and re book it under a diff number.... there is no availibility to do that... :(

So I was flying TLV-LAX with a stopover in EWR on 1/5/14 when they cancelled the connecting flight. it was 2 x 300K mileage tickets in biz. We got them to rebook us, but they ended up giving us two economy preferred tickets.
Can I get a partial refund on the lap child, since that's based on ticket price? How about a mileage refund for the tickets?
If it makes any difference they were two separate reservations
