Not IME. The regular number gets you most of the times to out of state reps that know all the rules as God said so.... They are so annoying.

I was just told that if I cancel my res without redepositing the miles I can rebook the same route at the same rate. I asked what is considered the same route and was told that it has to be the same origin and destination and that stops don't matter.

I have been looking to book some flights with UA, and it is amazing how little availability there is right now. Pre-deval has really made flights dry up for the routes I am looking at.

I got the exact route (with same stops even day of the week etc.) I need so I'm hoping at least UA insider is correct even if I was misinformed.

They probably don't know. It's probably just depends on the way the computer will price it and the tech people don't speak to the award people

This is for a week with part of Chanukah which begins on December 16th.

Sun, 14DEC14    AC84      I      (YYZ) 5:20 PM    (TLV) by AIR CANADA.
Sun, 21DEC14    US797    X     (TLV) 11:30 PM    (PHL) 5:20 AM (22DEC) by US AIRWAYS.

What happens if I cannot make it?   Do I have less options to change the dates of my flights because of the US AIRWAYS merger? I am still within my 24 hours to cancel if this helps.

By the way I have 2 confirmation numbers. One from United. When I enter this number in UA it directs to me US Airways with another confirmation number.

JFK/EWR are considered different Airports if this is what you're asking.
