As long as there is award availability for four, just use your united for 2, and your amex/starwood to transfer to another star alliance partner like aeroplan and/or US airways and book the other two.

Search for four saver seats on UA.com.

If they show up there, they should be available to be be able to be booked by any star alliance carrier.

Or by calling in.

(Can't book partners on US website, for instance.)

Yes. Also if you transfer 20K You'll get 25K.

is there any way to guarantee that all 4 tix will be on the same flight if I use points for 3 and pay for the 4th?
If there 3 saver seats, just transfer to AC and book it through them.

You could always purchase a flight and cancel if you can't get the other 3 seats.

To UA it's 2:1, to most other airlines it's 1:1 and 20:25

You quote a post but are referring to a different non- quoted post ten posts earlier?

How does that answer the question he's asking now?

Don't get me angry :) elch was looking to Book  3 UA award flights, two with his UA miles and one with his SPG that he will transfer to UA, so we all told him that SPG transfers 2:1 to UA, no good... and you told him to transfer to US airways where they transfer 1:1, so I added that it's 25:20 as well. He never said that he has some other miles/points he was talking exclusively about SPG.

My original point/questions was not accurate. I meant in the near future ie March, April and May.  No  nonstop economy saver award flights nyc-tel aviv even with club card for those months. zippo
For all the talk about the awesome United availability this is pathetic at least for nonstop flights

My guess is there is more economy saver nonstop availability for this route through AA on El-AL for these upcoming three months

at least for those who seek specifically nonstop flights nyc-tel aviv might be better to start amassing AA miles than UA miles?

The reason why UA is awesome is for having so many partners to choose from without fuel surcharges, not because of availability on their own metal (though they do open that up closer in)
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
