Never gonna happen, which is why this news isn't terribly exciting.

Well looks like the opposite might happen - http://boardingarea.com/ghettoife/2014/04/23/azul-goes-for-long-haul-expansion/ ;)

So if I have let's say NYC-LHR-NYC will adding LAX later on (when it becomes available....) cost me 75/100 dollars?

Called in, and the agent quoted me 10k miles per person, so i said go ahead.
Then she came back to say it cant be done, and meanwhile i lost my business seats on LH, and she put me on the United flight 5 hours prior to EWR instead of JFK, no i'm screwed...

ETA - Got the LH I class back, but now there is a bunch of remarks on the record to charge the full amount

After its was put back, i was able to go thru the online change process which needed 15k miles but it errored out after the payment page, and now I can't even access the change flights page

Has anyone confirmed whether you can still get the old rates even if you need to call to rebook? (ie error message)

This was it, got it done, without the $75 change fee, just difference in tax, of the grand amount of .60 cents...

ADD - They stored the fare as 75,000 miles (the old first rate), but only charged it once, so now i have 2 first class tickets, each 37,000 miles, change fee was 60 cents...

I'm currently holding flights on LH but don't like the times, but nothing else is open yet. Afraid I will be stuck only within 21 days of departure to get better flight times - no way around the change fees it seems for this non-statused UA flier I take it.

Have to make a decision soon  :-\

They can still review it...

Me, in my position, I (need) to review all tickets issued the day prior and to fix all mistakes, so ime they work the same way

Likelihood of that is about... .01%.

But congrats :P

What does the note about the stop in Osaka mean? To fill up with fuel?

They have a flight that goes via Osaka, its not a 5th, but they sell it to Osaka and Tokyo

Can you please be more clear  :-[

Is it a simple stopover? So why isn't it in the itinerary?

My hold is going to expire tonight.  I can try to cancel the booking and immediately re-hold, but nervous the seats won't get put back into the system. Anyone with an idea?

OK, so I cancelled and was able to re-hold. Seems like the system had my booking as being done on Friday (even though it is still Thursday in LA) so it is held until Saturday night at 11:59pm. Has this happened to anyone else before to confirm I am right in my hold?
