I've seen standard available when saver wasn't many times...

I've never BOOKED it, but I did assume that those options were something other than what was available to Star Alliance.
When was the last time you saw it? Hasn't been around for at least a year now.

I made an economy class award reservation with United on Brussels airlines. When I check my booking on United it shows as I reserved but when I check on Brussels airlines website it shows "Cabin: Business".
I went ahead and called Brussels and requested to have seats assigned to me and he gave economy seats.
Bluntly, I protested why I'm being seated in economy if I have business class tickets, but the rep told me that he has no idea what I'm talking about and that I have an economy reservation.
What could this mean?.

Happened to me 6 months ago. United will go ahead and price it at the lower fare yet they really can't access the seats so they write bisuness. Sometimes a UA agent won't know and u can buy an upgrade for 35k. Like me, I got a not nice agent and she specifically went out of her way to change me from Y to H bec she saw the pricing didn't match the class.

This is what 2 diff supervisors explained to me when I called back and said I want Y. And I showed them my original it in with Y in there.
If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

I understand but in my case united still has it as economy rather brussels shows it as businees and when I called brussels they had no clue what I was talking about.

Can anyone explain this one? Why when I search from FRA it's not avail in J but when I start my trip in MAD, it is.

I've had that before. Sometimes phantom availability, sometimes just a messed up system. But PUTPAC and you should be able to get some to book the one leg

Or just hold both and have them knock one off.

On ANA it shows that the FRA-JFK leg is indeed not avail in J. I'll try booking it, lets see what happens.

Wonders! The flight is confirmed! I actually wanted to depart from MAD, was just worried that it's phantom availability. Now, maybe does LH release more seats to UA? ANA still shows no availability, and UA does, and they confirmed me already.

A real separate Msechta.

Never heard that it would work with LH on UA.

Now I understand why sometimes I am seeing  NYC-FRA-TLV on UA in J, for 80k., But when I search just FRA-TLV, nothing is available.

Also, first time I am seeing married segments, that the long haul flight is not available, but it becomes available when the short haul - 2 hour flight is available, in this case FRA-JFK becomes available when he marries MAD-FRA. Usually it works the opposite. Though I have no experience.

I have a flight booked from DFW to CDG (2 stops) , Crotia to houston (4 stops), houston to NY (nonstop).
I got an email from united saying they changed the times of 2 of my stops from croatia to houston, and my flight time from IAH to Newark.
I want a more direct flight for all of them, and would also like to upgrade to business saver if on UA...Does anyone think the airlines will let me switch my flight to another more convenient flight even if it isnt saver because they changed my flight already?
One caviat: They accidently only charged me 30k miles instead of the 60k...is there a chance they will charge the rest of the miles if I call them and they look at my itinerary more closely?

thanks
