Probably not. As long as UA re issued it, it's fine.

Did you call LH? Since most times it will show the old one online.
Called in. They have the new E-ticket number.

Only on a round trip.

So on TLV-NYC-LAX - No you cannot.

But TLV-NYC-LAX-TLV - Yes you can,

Say I want to book a stopover. I choose multi-city destination. I live in IL so it could look something like this:

1. TLV - ATH
2. ATH - TLV (stop over here for a couple weeks)
3. TLV - NCE

I always get an error. I'm not sure why. I tried other airports as well -- still no luck. Any advice? Am I missing something here?

It's an illegal routing. By returning to TLV, you are completing a round trip, you can't stopover there.

Why is it different than NYC-TLV-NYC-LAX. The only difference I see is that LAX  is in the same zone as NYC.

Not sure if it's a legal routing or not, but the UA system sucks, whenever you wanna book anything complicated it errors out.

I have a ticket with LH in j (on the old chart) but need to change dates, the problem is that lh didn't release yet anything to ua for those dates!
Should I cancel without redeposit and then wait until it opens up?
Will I still be able to upgrade to f?
Thanks
Bump
Should I just ask for cancel without redeposit?

Exactly.
Over here, you are returning to the same zone as the destination on the RT.

From what I understand you need to stopover EITHER and your origin or at your destination. That is the point of the stopover no?

I saw stop over flights that were indeed like this
A -B
B - A
A - C

So maybe UA is just glitchy as heck?

Does the trick to avoid the close in fee work on the phone?
