most people wouldn't wear ECCO for shabbos. i do.  :)
IDK why you think so.  Dan wears it too :)
It's not Nike, much of their selection can be worn on Shabbos w/o blinking an eye.

ECCO is not stylish IMHO. I prefer comfort to style. For example if I was a woman, I wouldn't wear high heals. I'll let Dan speak for himself.

But, if I was a woman, I'd probably care about how I look more.

My wife is picky about which Eccos I can wear these days  ;) These she approved for shabbos and they're super-comfortable

Lol. My wife hates the fact that I wear ECCOs on shabbos, but she doesn't bother me about it, because if I wear leather soled shoes , my feet really hurt.

A smart guy once told me to only buy shoes from a shoe company. A clothing company - he claimed - never knows how to make a quality shoe. Interesting thought, I wonder if it's true.

No IMHO Ecco is better support and a stronger shoe
Geox are comfortable lighter but don't hold up as well ( they don't last as long )

+1

Geox is a shoe for 6 months and Ecco's are for a year +

If you are looking for a good shoe, I would recommend looking for a shoe which is all leather except for the sole, as leather soles are not as comfortable as rubber, and not as durable (rain, snow etc) . Why put your feet in plastic or some other junky material? They are your feet- take care of them  :)
