Rental car insurance in Israel

Hi all,

Recently made aliyah, and am looking into renting a car for a few days around Pesach time. A few questions:
1) Do any of the credit cards (Starwoods, AMEX rewards, AA cards, etc) have insurance coverage in Israel? I had assumed they would be similar to the US, but just read an article about this topic and Israel was one of the countries specifically excluded by AMEX and others.

2) Any good websites to check for fares? I found $20-$30 on Budget in Yerushalayim depending on the quality of the 5 seater. (doesn't include insurance)

3) Do any of the coupon codes or other codes work there?

World Mastercards (such as AA or Continental) cover CDW in Israel, although most agencies will still force you to take out some other bogus insurance even with a World Mastercard.
