Whats elals rules on delayed/lost baggage?

Just arrived in tlv from jfk and one of our suitcases is missing. This is the first time I ever didn't put in Amex insurance for delayed baggage cus i wasn't sure how to do it cus my card that I booked the tickets on has been cancelled for a few months (platinum card). It was all mine and my son's clothes and things Iwill nneed today (diapers etc). I can't call elal I'm in the airport still and i don't have access to a phone. But wondering if anyone knows their policy in regard to purchasing things that I will need.

Just an update for anyone that goes through this in the future. I was told I can file for 75$ back for 3 days of delayed luggage from elal. I spent over 200$ figured I'd chance them paying all my expenses and i just got a letter stating theyare sorry that happened and are depositing over 200$ in my bank. Pretty awesome way to buy clothes for my son :-) and pay for his upsherin!

Just had a similar story

only my bag arrived TLV on erev shavuos, and they made me come pick it up, as they have no delivery before yom tov.

I didn't buy anything as I did not have time on erev yom tov

Should I file a claim with NY office or general (TLV) office?


P.S. I got the ticket on a AMEX card am entitled for anything there ?
