Their are ways to hear the voicemail message (which lots of times has a name) without ringing the number....if that helps you.

try mr number. i wouldnt recommend keeping the app though, it really slowed my phone down

Another way I've done but this only works if both phones (yours and the other one) are sprint.
1)call your voicemail
2)to send a message press 2
3)enter the phone number
If its a sprint number and the person recorded his name, it will play the name. If not then the number will play back.

nope im on verizon and he is tmobile that much ive found out

Does anyone know of a FREE Reverse Phone look up online? I use white-pages but they don`t always give the info, sometimes they direct you to a "sponsor" and you know what that mean$

If you're that desperate, you can use white pages. They charge you 1.99 but it's free if they can't find the info.

What about using a spoofcard to "call" from that number to a landline with caller ID?

what would that show? if its a cell phone it wont show a name?

Of course it will as long as the landline you're calling has caller ID.

If you have a caller id app (like current) you'll be able to see who it is when they call. Weird thing is you can't check a previous call, because to do that (specifically current) it uses white pages.
