On a diffrent topic....
4 nights are showing 160K but when I book for 5 nights (5th night free) it charges 170K...?

I guess that may be the taxes?

I'm sorry it didn't work for you.
I'm just thinking that perhaps it only worked because I emailed them before checkout.
But who knows, they may have just changed their policy #Bonvoyed.

I’m assuming it’s because the free night applies to the cheapest night. So probably your first four nights are 40K and the fifth is 50K so the total price for five nights is 3x40K + 50K. There are no taxes that are charged as points. If there are taxes charged it will be as cash.

Try DM on twitter, https://twitter.com/MarriottBonvoy I've had success with them in the past when all other options failed.
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Please email customer.care@marriott.com to voice your opposition to Marriott International allowing CCP to influence who can book a hotel. I think a deluge of emails from Elite members can have an effect.

Crazy question. I would like to visit my sister (she's in adult home at 1025 N Fairfax Ave in LA). I have four free rooms at Marriot, 3 for 25,000 points and one for 30,000. This free room thing looks like a wicked sense of humor as there are no rooms anywhere for so low a number 25,000 or 30,000. Do I have to forget about ever getting a free room?

I have the option for points and cash or just points. Difference is $360 extra for the points + cash or 72,000 points for purely points. Added twist, I would need to transfer 6K chase to Bonvoy help make the difference to 72K. Which method makes sense? I'm thinking points b/c of the recent Bonvoy devalue. Any advice? Thanks.
