I'm new to the boards so apologies if I should be starting a new thread instead of asking here, but this seems to be about Marriott in general.
My main questions are, does anyone know how long it takes to get a suspended account verified after emailing them a copy of your DL? Also, does anyone know of a way to contact the fraud department to try to get it looked at?
The reason I'm asking is because my wife's account got suspended for suspected fraud because she tried to transfer 43K points to mine. She's doing that so that I can then convert to AA miles to book an F award flight I have on hold for her mother to visit us and our twin infants. So she calls last night, they say great, everything is good, should appear on your husband's account in 15-20 minutes. It doesn't and then this morning she gets an email saying blah blah suspected fraud, call CS. She calls and they just say email a copy of your DL to verify your identity and it'll all get sorted out, but when she asked they say they have no clue how long it will take and there's no way to talk to the fraud department. I'm afraid we'll lose out on the hold on the award flight. I'm afraid we've been thuroughly Bonvoyed, but wanted to see if anyone has suggestions.
