How do I extend the expiration date of Marriott points? I tried booking and cancelling but last activity date didn't change.
maybe try a incoming transfer
Either member to member or from a partner rewards (Amex etc )

Attaching marriot to uber and placing an order will extend it.

What's the easiest way to keep marriott points from expiring? I booked a stay through chase travel portal (with UR points) and put in the marriott # but the points in my account are set to expire a few weeks before the stay.

When logged in to Marriott I see the upcoming stay listed but it still shows that the points will expire before then.

TIA

I see I can buy a few points for $12.50, I'll probably do that unless there's a free way (is there a shopping portal or something)?

Marriott won't give points on a stay booked via a 3rd party anyways.

They had a shopping portal for a very short period of time a few years ago.

I guess transferring a few points may help. Check the DDMS post.

See this post, I guess double check to make sure you're fine. Maybe he transferred some points out and not in like you:

any way to recover expired points? just realized that points transferring not extend the 24 month clock and lost 450k points!

I saw that and got nervous! But I logged in to Marriott last night and saw that the expiration date was extended to 2025, I guess transferring points in (I did from Chase) is different.

How long after you get approved for the amex business Bonvoy card, does your status get updated?
The official policy is up to 2 weeks, does anyone have any DPs?
Is there a way to expedite it?

Wondering if anyone has ever had luck getting an upgrade (of any kind) at St regis bal harbour? Mentioning special occassion, status etc.

Also, does marriott match status from hilton? (Its technically from credit card, but have enough stays that they probably would not realize if need to show proof)

I am staying at several Marriott hotels and only have gold status. Does anyone have platinum elite status or higher that I can use by adding you to my reservation to get the upgrades and breakfast

I have Marriott points that are expiring soon. Is anyone planning on staying at a Marriott that would want me to book for them? I have gold elite status.

There are a bunch of ways to extend them I think there's a DDMS on it

Im near perfect with upgrades having gold with marriott, Bh. Just go upgraded to a two bedroom suite in a residence inn for tomorrow night. I think you will have a much better chance at getting upgraded if you book from your own account, these days i find that using someone else’s they dont care at all to help you

But you can have automatic platinum status with one marriott card, and you can combine certain cards with elite night credits to get you very close to the benchmark if you want higher status

I have a Marriott reservation with payment at the hotel, but I want to buy and use third-party Amex offers. Is there any way to either prepay for a reservation which is not officially pre-paid, or to pay with a cc at the hotel without having it in possession? I'm already checking in as a second guest, so not looking to raise more red flags.
