i used yelp25 got 50$ credit and 1 free day at national (im not so pumped about the 29$ charge) anyway i could get this off? I also saw invoice it says 25+ 19% ny sales tax, why if i live in nj do i pay ny sales tax

used yelp25. got free day and 50 credit.
seems like a good deal. 29 dollars for a free day itself is already worth it, plus 4.5 hours of driving is cool too. (they have many cars in ny metro area (none in CH itself, but a nice walk away they have some)

this whole program looks a bit fishy, the style emails and the way they handled the phone.... looks like a few people got together to make this program

Stamp was also done manually not by machine. It is even stranger that the ID number is handwritten!

My envelope had my address on a printed label and a professional stamp, although my member # was handwritten.

did anyone call and ask why they were charged 29 when it sais the charge will be 25 . I haven't called bec I didn't get anything back from them yet

I actually emailed them asking about the charge and told them I signed up using a code which I was under the impression that it waived the fee.

Their reply:

There is a $25 plus tax application fee to join the program. This covers the processing costs of retrieving each applicant’s driving record from the DMV. This amount is credited back in the form of a $50 driving credit for use in the CarShare program as well as a free rental day with participating National car rental locations.

The processing fee cannot be waived. If you would like to receive a refund, your Enterprise CarShare account can be closed and your card refunded. This would also void the Emerald Club points you accrued by participating in the original promotion. Simply call Member Services at the number listed below or reply to this email for more information.
