Called up. They said the $40 annual fee was waived but they cant waive the $25 application fee, so i canceled my membership.

Note, they said the $40 annual fee is waived for the first year and then its by default set to auto-renew your membership each year.

So about a month ago I canceled my membership as they weren't willing to waive the $25 application fee.
Last week i got a voice message from "Tiffany" offering to reinstate my membership and waive the application fee.
I called them today to inquire if it would also reinstate my free day at national and my $50 driving credit, and they said yes.
Just got them to reopen my account and see both already.

There's an 8.50/hr surcharge for <21 but at least that seems legal, unlike zipcar which illegally prohibits membership under 21.

Hertz on demand is best because there's no surcharge and there's no restriction on car type, unlike regular Hertz.

You got the annual fee waived for life, or for the first year?
I think he means your credit will be gone by the end of the year either way unless you plan on continuing and paying the fee.

Note. HOD changed its name to Hertz 24/7. Got an email about this a few weeks ago.

i applied then i called them to cancel my application cause i didnt want to be charged and the lady told me the emerald promotion ended
