points can be used for the AF.

Statement credits: If you have the exact number of points or more required to wipe away a charge, you can wipe away the entire charge.  If you have fewer than the exact number of points, you can only redeem in 2500 point/$25 increments.

Example: If you have an $87 charge, and 9000 points, you can wipe away the entire $87 charge.  If, however, you only have 8000 points, you can only wipe away $75 worth of the $87 charge (2500 point/$25 increments x 3).

Weird situation.

My annual fee was charged so I called and downgraded to the no-fee version a few weeks ago.

Today, I decided to re-apply as part of a 2BM with the US Airways(which was approved) and was declined. I then checked back in my account and I noticed I still had the Arrival+ although the annual fee was credited back. Not sure what to make of this or how to even approach this on a phone call. Anyone have experience with having 2 of these cards at once?

What's the difference between the Arrival+ and the non AF version?

Arrival+ vs. Arrival-
2x on all purchases vs. 2x on airfare and dining/1x on all other purchases. 40k sign up bonus vs. 20k sign up bonus.

1 supervisor told me 60 days and another told me 30 days to cancel to avoid fee. Fee charged on 11/28th. No other RO other than the  downgrade to no fee version but wanted to use the card till my next statement closes

By Barclays even once you close the card it stays on your online account for months, the way to tell if it's closed is if your credit limit is $500 that's what they do to all closed accounts

I was looking and couldn't find an answer to this:

Being that the 40k points can be redeemed for travel, does anyone know if I could in theory get them to reimburse me for my monthly metrocard?

Yes. As long as it's $25+

Monthly cards are around $115 a month. Have you done this or know someone that did? So nothing in this thread.

WOuld I just email them the receipt every month until the points are done?

I have about 6,000 miles in my account, and I want to close it. Any advice on an easy way to redeem them?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Buy a refundable southwest ticket, cancel immediately, wait for it to post (usually takes me 5 days) and redeem.
(IINM, you can only redeem in increments of 2,500 points, so you'll have 1K orphaned)

NO! You have to make the purchase on your Arrival+ Credit Card, and then in your online account there's an award section, and you will see how to redeem your miles for a statement credit, it's very self explanatory.

So, If I understand this correctly, I will redeem my points for the charge from southwest and then when I cancel the ticket, those charges will post as credit balance on my account.
Why do I have to cancel immediately?

Correct.
There's no need to cancel immediately. I was just saying that with SW, you CAN cancel right away. (Orbitz for example, won't post if you cancel right away. SW will post and will show a refund. Redemptions can only be made on posted charges)

But orbitz only allows you to cancel till 11 PM the next day. What happens if it didn't post by then ?
