points can be used for the AF.

Statement credits: If you have the exact number of points or more required to wipe away a charge, you can wipe away the entire charge.  If you have fewer than the exact number of points, you can only redeem in 2500 point/$25 increments.

Example: If you have an $87 charge, and 9000 points, you can wipe away the entire $87 charge.  If, however, you only have 8000 points, you can only wipe away $75 worth of the $87 charge (2500 point/$25 increments x 3).

The agent blasted me when i called about AF  yesterday . He said  the recon offer is  0% APR for 16 month with 3% fee. Told him I never carry a dime of balance and I will reject  it even if it has  0 transfer fee for 10 yrs. He said that's the best offer. Told  him Bull"
Asked me  what else I want then? Told him the $89 fee is the problem.  Asked me why I didn't say fee waiver. Told  him I said  that in the beginning of our conversation already. Asks me if I have the patience of waiting  till the next statement closes to see the fee credit. Told him sure and thanks a lot. He thanks  me and today I see the fee credited! LOL

Buy a refundable southwest ticket, cancel immediately, wait for it to post (usually takes me 5 days) and redeem.
(IINM, you can only redeem in increments of 2,500 points, so you'll have 1K orphaned)
I know this was posted a few weeks ago but according to the video that they have on their site about redeeming points you can redeem any amount of 2500+ so make sure that if say you redeem 50k for $500 and you now have 5k redeem only 2777 so you'll then have 2500 exactly left to redeem leaving only the minimum 250 orphaned
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Is this true with other CC as well?

Ok will clear it for you

I called about the fee being charged  and asked if there is any retention offer. I said I am looking to cancel it. He said the RO is 0% APR thing for 16 month and has just 3 % transfer fee.  Told him I get that offer without being asked by Chase, Citi & Amex everyday and I hate it.I never carry a balance. Tells me that is the RO and what else I want then. I told him the $89 is the PROBLEM. Asked me I want fee waiver? I said yes. He was like why the heck you didn't straight out say you want fee waiver.  I played with him and apologized to him for not being clear on what I want. So he waived it and saw it today. Didn't have to wait   longer

Let me guess, this is a day after you paid the fee :P

Not true. You can't just enter any number of points and redeem.
The system just offers you 3 options base on the amount of the charge and the points you have. However, I was wrong about it always being $25 increments.
Example 1, example 2.

Many cards have that limit when using the points for statement credit. (BOFA, Chase, Cap1)
Most mileage cards however, transfer in 1K increments.

Called today about getting the AF waived (first year just ended) and it was a no-go (I was speaking to a manager who had just waived the AF on the M & M card for me, so might have been a factor). She offered to downgrade to regular Arrival. Gonna HUCA.

Hi - if I already have the Arrival no-fee and I apply for the Arrival Plus will I still get the sign-up bonus if I'm approved?  I downgraded my previous Plus to the no-fee about a year ago.  Any data points on whether Barclays would approve an Arrival Plus for someone already with the Arrival no-fee?

Thanks

Not in my case, I have the Arrival+, and got declined for regular arrival for having same product. No credit exam was done.

I  converted my barclay Hawaiin card to  the NO fee arrival card 2 months ago. The only bonus for this was 1k arrival miles after first purchase.

Made the purchase, 2 statement closed and  1k mile never posted. Called and spoke to supervisors and they kept telling me there was none and there is no such 1k mile for no fee arrival convertion.

Anyone had success getting it when you downgraded to No fee arrival?

Peace, my 1k miles also didn't post.  Downgraded from AF to no-AF arrival.
