points can be used for the AF.

Statement credits: If you have the exact number of points or more required to wipe away a charge, you can wipe away the entire charge.  If you have fewer than the exact number of points, you can only redeem in 2500 point/$25 increments.

Example: If you have an $87 charge, and 9000 points, you can wipe away the entire $87 charge.  If, however, you only have 8000 points, you can only wipe away $75 worth of the $87 charge (2500 point/$25 increments x 3).

I don't think it's a smart idea to apply for the same card so soon, better wait a few months
If he's anyways applying for a card, there is no difference between applying for the same card or a different one.

The banks don't like it when you keep applying for the same card (that's what a chase banker told me so take it however you want to)
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Is this worth it
is what worth it
Depends what you are talking about. I assume since you are posting in the arrival plus thread, that you mean if the card is worth it. If you are pulling credit from barclays anyway, it's definitely worth an MBM. If you know you have travel coming up that you have to pay for and can't use miles or points, then it's worth it as well.

P.S. welcome to the boards.

For some, if not most people, $400 for free is worth it.  What exactly is your question?

Buy a southwest "anytime" ticket with your arrival, redeem the miles towards the ticket, refund the SW ticket. You now have a statement credit which you could have them mail you a check.

This is the standard promo for this card. Also, after you post, you can click modify on the top right of your post and add to it.

How long to wait from cancelling to reapplying?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

AF & non AF are different products.

When I had applied for Arrival and Arrival + a few months back, they told me I could only have one "Arrival" product and had to choose b/n AF and no-AF.  Is that incorrect?

Did you apply for both at once as Dave A did or did you downgrade a card to arrival and then reapply for plus?

They wait time is shorter then? or without 1st downgrading they run into problems even after 3months?
Also would is the Citi double cash recommended while I wait to reapply? Will they let me downgrade from a Citi AA Platinum?

Applied for both at once (did US Air, Arrival +, and Arrival, got the first 2).  Should I now downgrade my +, wait a few months, and re-apply for +?  And if so, what happens to my points in my + account?

downgraded us airways to arrival, while having arrival +, would assume that, that dispel's the idea of not being able to have both cards.

Why don't you redeem your points with refundable ticket

I received an email from Barclays saying they offer exclusive savings on Hotels at http://hoteldeals.barclaycardtravel.com/PageHotels.aspx. I checked 2 hotels in Florida, and their price was cheaper than Kayak. Has anyone used their hotel site before?

Why don't you redeem your points with refundable ticket

Can you explain a bit?  I think I get it but want to make sure: buy a refundable ticket with my card and then pay off with points on the next statement, then once I get the ticket refunded, downgrade the card and get the credit (of the amount of the refunded ticket) sent to me by check?  (Or do I have to then spend the amount credited with that same card?)
