points can be used for the AF.

Statement credits: If you have the exact number of points or more required to wipe away a charge, you can wipe away the entire charge.  If you have fewer than the exact number of points, you can only redeem in 2500 point/$25 increments.

Example: If you have an $87 charge, and 9000 points, you can wipe away the entire $87 charge.  If, however, you only have 8000 points, you can only wipe away $75 worth of the $87 charge (2500 point/$25 increments x 3).

Thats a but strange. Most here have reported being able to reapply a few months later. Did you try calling more than once? Sometime you just gotta HUCA away!
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

You redeem 50,000 points towards the $1500 travel charge.

But that's it for that purchase. You can't redeem more points against that purchase at a future date.

When you log in do you see the arrival+ card on your account?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Question about Chip and PIN,

I was just in Europe and most of the time I used other cards without C+P, but at one particular instance, I was in a big rush so I used my Arrival+ (which I had definitely set up a PIN on it) to save the time it takes these people who haven't ever seen a signature card in their lives to figure out what's going on and then compare the signature on the back of my card with the one I scribbled on their receipt 15 times and finally let me go, but to my surprise after inserting the chip into the reader it did not prompt me for a PIN, rather it printed out a receipt and required my signature. Why did that happen? (so much for it being a C+P card...)

How does it know that? shouldn't the machine detect that the card has a PIN and require it? why is it different to any european card?

I was just hit with annual fee, and am trying to figure out if I should cancel this card. I do about 15k spending on the card every month. If I would close the card I would do the spending on my newly converted Citi Double Cash (from AA Platinum). I know the Arrival is .22% more which is about $400 a year; the question is if I'll be able to reapply in a few months and get the $400 bonus and avoid the annual fee? Yossi6400 wrote he was not able to get approved for a new Arrival. Is he a small exception to the usual?

This is my 1st. Are you thinking that he only had a problem cuz it was his 3rd? even though he waited 8 months?

I would say that your first step should be to try and get a retention bonus/offer.
Have people received serious retention bonus's? Better to call or SM?
