Dear Shimino1,
Recently we sent you a letter informing you of upcoming changes to your Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ MasterCard® Rewards Program Rules. To continue to provide this best-in-class travel rewards product and to simplify its structure, we’ll be making the following changes, effective November 17, 2015:
Redemption bonus changes
The bonus miles you receive when you redeem for travel statement credits will be reduced to 5% miles back. At the same time, we’ll expand the 5% miles back to ALL redemptions — including travel and cash back statement credits, gift cards and merchandise. That means, every time you redeem miles, you’ll get 5% of your miles back to use toward your next redemption (for example, redeem 20,000 miles and get 1,000 miles back).
Minimum redemption threshold changes
A minimum of 10,000 miles will be needed to redeem toward a qualifying travel purchase of $100 or more and at least 5,000 miles will be needed to redeem for a cash back statement credit.¹ Don’t worry, the value of your miles remains the same.
Additional changes
Purchases classified as Tourist Attractions (including expositions, botanical gardens, craft shows, museums and wineries) will no longer count toward qualifying travel statement credit redemptions.
Complimentary Tripit® Pro subscriptions will no longer be auto-renewed.²
The other features and benefits of your rewards program remain unchanged. Your Barclaycard Arrival Plus MasterCard is designed to be one of the richest travel rewards cards available.
To accept these changes, just keep using your card as you do today. If you prefer to transfer to another product or close your account, contact us on or before November 3, 2015. We’ll refund the unused portion of your annual fee, on a prorated basis, within 4–6 weeks of your request.
Thank you for your business.
Sincerely,
