points can be used for the AF.

Statement credits: If you have the exact number of points or more required to wipe away a charge, you can wipe away the entire charge.  If you have fewer than the exact number of points, you can only redeem in 2500 point/$25 increments.

Example: If you have an $87 charge, and 9000 points, you can wipe away the entire $87 charge.  If, however, you only have 8000 points, you can only wipe away $75 worth of the $87 charge (2500 point/$25 increments x 3).

Booked a jet blue flight 2 days ago, it's still not even in pending transactions yet. Does it take some time?
Yes took me a couple of days till I was able to see it...

Southwest "business select" can be cancelled a week later for full refund? (Need charge to post before canceling).

Yes, but basis of question is incorrect.

I don't believe so but please review my plan and cmiiw:

I have 56,096 points, and booked a business select flight for $568.55. When it posts in a few days I will get 1,173 points pushing me up to 57,269. I will then redeem 56,855 points for $568.55 statement credit, dropping me to 414 points. I will get a 5% bonus on that redemption, 2,843, bringing me up to 3,257. I will then have my 1,173 clawed back, dropping me to 2,084 which is still a positive balance. I will close my card with this balance.

try getting a different one for $20 more. Otherwise you are just leaving those on the table.

He was saying that you should have tried to find a flight for $588 instead of 568. That way you can redeem all your points

I am having a super tough time getting approved for another Arrival + and not sure if I should keep trying. Here are my details:
1) I cancelled my first A+ more than 6 months ago
2) I am being declined because of opening too many cards (with other banks) in the past few months and they "want to see more usage on my other cards
3) I was declined twice with two recons all for the same reason.

I'll also add that I have one other Barclay Lufthansa card - they refuse to transfer credit from that card to open a new Arrival+ too. In other words, they are being a huge PITA, but is it worth it to keep trying nonetheless, maybe speak to a manager or something?

with barclays its very hard to get approved for a card with them if you already have a barclays  card, especially if you dont have high usage on the one you already have.

I hear that, but I've seen numerous DP's of getting approved for 2 Barclay cards. I currently only have 1

-1 my wife just got approved for 2 Barclays card (Lufthansa & aa aviator) even though she didn't use her arrival+ card for at least a year.
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

Are you saying it's easier to close your cards, wait a little and then apply?
