points can be used for the AF.

Statement credits: If you have the exact number of points or more required to wipe away a charge, you can wipe away the entire charge.  If you have fewer than the exact number of points, you can only redeem in 2500 point/$25 increments.

Example: If you have an $87 charge, and 9000 points, you can wipe away the entire $87 charge.  If, however, you only have 8000 points, you can only wipe away $75 worth of the $87 charge (2500 point/$25 increments x 3).

Anybody have any luck closing a card to get a new one approved. I asked them to close the fee card in order to approve the free one but they wouldn't let me. Otherwise I will have to stam downgrade or close as the annual fee is coming up at end of month.
Lemaysa, at 2.2% it's a great card but not worth the $89 fee when I can just use a free Freedom card for 1.1 UR...

I was wondering today, the great benefits of UR.  I'm told they are harder to sell, need to be transferred among other Chase cards to be redeemed and there seem to be easier options.  6% food 3%/gas one one of the AMEX cards seems to be so much better.

When using miles for airfare/hotel stays, you can often get a value of 3-5 CPP or more. And that's on every purchase.

OK, but you can get  .06 with no fuss.  Even .03, cash, is reasonable.

Any idea if this card is churnable? I've read through this thread and seen the question asked a few times but no answer. I'm sure someone has tried it. I've churned the Barclay NFL card successfully and am hoping this works the same. Any information about time between cancelling and new application would be appreciated as well.

Furthermore, any offers from retentions when attempting to cancel?

Bump - any experiences if this is good for a second round?

Is there a way to get an actual check back for the 2.2 rather than only a statement credit?  Once I purchase a ticket and it posts...Do I need to tell them to give me the money or do they do it automatically?

Does anyone know if you need the points in your account before you make the travel-related charge in order to get the reimbursement or i can you get reimbursed retroactively once you get the points?

I would like to buy a flight and get the $400 credit towards it, but I don't have the $3000 spend yet.

someone suggested that you buy a refundable ticket and then after the credit posts refund it but keep the 2.2% cashback. sounds really awesome!

You need to login online and redeem your rewards. After you see them posted (usually within 2 days)! You can cancel original ticket and keep the rewards credit
