points can be used for the AF.

Statement credits: If you have the exact number of points or more required to wipe away a charge, you can wipe away the entire charge.  If you have fewer than the exact number of points, you can only redeem in 2500 point/$25 increments.

Example: If you have an $87 charge, and 9000 points, you can wipe away the entire $87 charge.  If, however, you only have 8000 points, you can only wipe away $75 worth of the $87 charge (2500 point/$25 increments x 3).

Can the points earned on this card be merged/combined with those of a spouse? In other words, my wife and I both got approved for this card. After we meet the spending thresholds, we'll get the 40K sign-up bonus. But if I want to buy an expensive ticket that's $800+, can I somehow merge them to apply all of our accumulated points toward the cost? If so, how do I go about doing that?

I wonder if you can convince the airline to let you book over the phone with a split payment and to waive the fee since they don't allow split payments on the website?(unless they do…never checked)

Not sure if I saw on DDF or mentioned by a friend, that with the Arrival Card as well (Posted in the USAirways Wiki by Dan) they offer 15k if you let the card sit after initially meeting the threshold. Can anyone confirm this?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Looking on Barclays site it says that points don't expire if your card is open and "active", which they say means a purchase in the last 180 days. Did anyone that opened the card but didn't really "use" it in six months know if this is true? Did the points expire for not being active? (BTW they also write the same thing regarding their fico benefit, which is why I really wanted to open the card and not to use it necessarily...)

Has anyone had any luck HUCAing with Barclay? I missed the 90 days for the threshold by under 2 weeks. I called and they said there's nothing to do. Any advice?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

I booked a SW refundable ticket and used my points towards the ticket. Do I have to wait till statement closes to cancel the SW ticket, or can I do it right away?

i downgraded to the standard card, no annual fee still has no foreign fee the only difference is you dont get 2 points per dollar. You only get the 2x on travel and dining. They didnt offer to waive the AF.

Anyone have experience shifting credit between Barclay cards? I have 10k cl on my usairways and 5k cl on my arrival, I would like to increase my cl on the arrival card, anyway to move around credit like chase?

Yup, I did it between my Arrival and Miles and More cards.
