points can be used for the AF.

Statement credits: If you have the exact number of points or more required to wipe away a charge, you can wipe away the entire charge.  If you have fewer than the exact number of points, you can only redeem in 2500 point/$25 increments.

Example: If you have an $87 charge, and 9000 points, you can wipe away the entire $87 charge.  If, however, you only have 8000 points, you can only wipe away $75 worth of the $87 charge (2500 point/$25 increments x 3).

Yup, you may have luck converting an existing amex card or you might have to open a new one

Is this the same card as the old blue cash?

I have a feeling he wanted to know how he could cash out at 1cpp as opposed to .5cpp.

I see we're not getting rid of this question despite being discussed many times and it'd be easy to find the answer with a quick search, so I'll just answer it.

It's simple.
1) Go to Expedia, Priceline, Orbiz or any airline site, book a flight and charge it to your Arrival card.
2) Cancel the reservation (may be done just a few minutes after booking)
3) Log in to your account and redeem towards travel @ 1cpp
4) If your balance was zero, you can request a check.
Bingo!

ETA: I think you have to wait between step 2 and 3 until the charge posts, not sure though. You can try it.

That's correct, you need to wait until it posts to redeem the miles.

Also, although it's obvious it should nonetheless be mentioned, make sure to buy a fully refundable ticket.

Just to make it clear, it doesn't have to be a refundable just a regular ticket that may be canceled within 24 hours.

I'm not sure about that, in some cases (? ) if you cancel a ticket before it posts the pending charge could just drop off and you would have no way to redeem against it.

That's why I bought a fully refundable ticket, waited until it posted, redeemed and cancelled it.

I'm not the biggest expert but AFAIK that's not the case.

My personal experience, I purchased a regular Alaska Airlines ticket (to get the $100 statement credit offer), canceled within minutes of making the reservation an redeemed my points.

Was that with the Arrival card?

The 50k Alaska offer that was around a few months ago had a $100 statement credit?
