yes. cancel ticket, wait for charge to post, then redeem the arrival miles for the bonus

I have the BOFA Travel Rewards.
I couldn't find it mentioned here on DDF. Just bought an "Anytime" SW ticket. Gonna try the same strategy as with the Barclay miles. (Get travel credit from BOFA and then a refund from SW)
1: What do you guys think is the worst they can do? It's not like I did anything illegal or against their T&C. Is this a big risk?
2: If I have a negative balance, how will I get the cash? I know AMEX and Barclay send you a check. Anyone have experience with BOFA?

my charge is still showing as pending will it still post ? even I canceld the ticket ?

This is weird though. As I said before, all other transactions posted within 1 day. Chase usually take 2 days for me and AMEX often takes more than that. But with Barclay, its always been 1 day.

I've had some bad experience with AA refunds. Always got my money, but it wasn't easy and took time.
SW just refunds your credit card within a day or 2.

My experience is not recent though, so maybe its easier today.

Buy the 'Anytime' fare and then it's fully refundable.

As D93 said, I was able to redeem, even though I already cancelled a few days ago.
Although, the cancellation didn't show up online yet.

my charge by Barclays is still pending since the 26 . I canceld the ticket on the 26 will it still post that I should be able to cash it out or I will have to do it again ?
