My favourite was a car I drove that had a speed limiter. You set it at any speed and then you have full control of the driving, whilst not going above your limit.

Obviously, it's not a CC replacement, but in the right driving environment it is quite helpful.

Did he use radar or laser?
With laser in most cases you can't detect it until the cop is pointing it at you (because laser is a focused narrow beam), and by then it's too late.
With radar also there's something called POP where it only shoots out bursts or radar when he presses the button as opposed to normally when it's constantly on.
Radar. He was sitting on the side of the road with his lights and radar off and then came up behind me after he saw me fly by. I saw him coming up behind me and hit the brakes as he turned on the radar. Nailed me at 96mph. He threatened to impound the car and throw me in jail for the night because I asked him to see the radar reading ;D

Was once researching the difference between radar and laser and came upon a quote:
"The difference with laser is the cop has to put down his doughnut, pick up the laser gun and point it at you."

Was wondering if you got jail time. Had he clocked you at 115, would've been pretty likely

I definitely could have. He told me he knew I was going a lot faster than 96 and he saw slam on the brakes...
The prosecutor wanted to suspend my license but I got a lawyer who managed to reduce it to a 2 point violation.
