If you're gonna hang it on the wall, why in the dining room? AFAIK it's supposed to be private.

I've been in many homes where the the couple had deliberately chosen a kesubah that is very fancy (like a piece of art), then once married, they hung it as a decoration.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen kesubos hanging in peoples homes but for some reason it didn't feel right to me.
