Has anyone done any research or have any information on the kosher restaurant situation in Marrakech, such as why there is no official kashrus certification on the restaurants, is it politics or are they not trustworthy? on the website of the kehilla of Marrakech it lists a bunch of kosher restaurants but I don't believe any of them have certification.
any info would be greatly appreciated.

When I was there in 2021, the owner said that they are working to get a hechesher, because she anticipate growth in the Heimeshe tourism to Morocco, especially Isrealis who were not able to travel till than to Morocco.
From my understanding, the locals have some sort of trust between them and they were ok with that, there were no Kosher Certification organization locally.
Sefardim vs Ashkenazim....
I don't think that 300 years ago a local inn in Russia who served food for guests who passes by on their way to the Bal Shem Tov had  a hechsher.

...300 years ago on the way to the Baal Shem Tov...the guests got a glass of tea and maybe a potato or two...a bit different  than today, no ?

Sefardim vs Ashkenazim....

Out of Arbah Aratzos VS. Under the jurisdiction/influence of the Vaad Arbah Aratzos
Small people talk about other people.
Average people talk about things
BIG PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IDEAS.

Is there a reason why you don't post the Whatsapp contact here?
I'm asking bwcause I registered on the website, but did not get any answer.

should i rent a car or take a driver ?
i would recommend getting a driver, don't forget this is a 3rd world country they dont really drive like in the USA, those of you that have been can understand. As a general rule the drivers (Moroccan arabs in general too) are very respectful towards frum looking jews, besides they know the locals and are able to help you along the way, for example if you want to stop and and buy something and bargain...

whats the best way to get to marrakesh? fly to cmn? and then take a flight? or do a stopover somewhere else?
RAK is about a 3 hour drive from CMN,  if you dont want to drive, depending where your coming from you can either stop in Europe and go straight to RAK or you can fly to CMN and catch a connecting flight to RAK.
