Current Covid guidelines: Negative test to get in and Negative to get back into USA?
Is this correct? How about for children?

I just booked tickets for a week to Morocco from the US-July 28th until Aug 4th (pretty cheap price)
If anyone has any advice what the best place is to stay at for Shabbos I would appreciate it if you can share :)
I am traveling with my wife, 2 little kids (ages 3 and  11 months)  and my bil who is 19 years old, I would like to know if anyone has any specific ideas for such a kind of group or any comments.

Hi, I’m being in Morocco next week פרשת עקב. We’re a group of 5 bucherim 3 Europeans and 2 Americans, were being in Casablanca for shabbos as that’s where there’s a big Jewish community with active minyanim and restaurants. As for shabbos meals I’ve emailed the chabad rabbi there and still haven’t received a response regarding the shabbos meals.
If anyone here’s of any other ideas for shabbos meals please let us know.

Does anyone know of any jewish community that is still active south of Marrakesh? Like Essaouira or Agadir? Looking to be a shabbos as close as possible to Mauritania.
I can bring my own Shabbos food.
Or any Jewish Community in Senegal? As far I could check online there is nothing between Marrakesh to Ivory Coast.

Hi guys, I’ve just landed in RAK myself as the friend I was supposed to come with forgot his passport in the hotel in Amsterdam so he’s coming tomorrow. There’s another group coming later from Italy and we’re joining up here In Marrakech. Baruch HaShem I was just ripped off and only lost 50euro 500MAD.
A.
If you’re taking a taxi here no matter from where to where make sure he puts the meter on and use your google maps or Waze to show him the directions because if you won’t yell at him to follow the GPS he’ll take you around so he makes more money. And don’t be surprised if he picks up other people along the route sounds like it’s the way it’s done here.
B.
We are staying in the Medina, as soon as you walk in you’ll have people Harassing you in Hebrew, English and French to buy from them, they’ll offer to take you to your hotel or apartment, to show you around and as soon as you talk to them they’ll want money- and they as well take you around 3 times what it should take so they can ask for more money. It’s literary worse than the markets in Egypt if that says anything.
I’d say use google maps, contact your host to greet you an get a guide (if you want one) from your host that will be respectful and for a set price.
Honestly it’s a beautiful area but they just don’t stop harassing so be careful.
(For whoever is curious tits not at all hostile to walk here with a yarmulke as they don’t care and either way will beg you to sell you something in Hebrew....)
One more point on the community’s website here they write there’s a minyan Mincha and Arvit at 8pm in the בית כנסת בית אל I went there today and there’s no minyan but the guard let me in to Daven, I’ll see in the morning  about the minyan in the big shul for shacharit.

Welcome to Morocco!
Yes, they are so pushy, they make Israelis look like English gentleman.
You should be especially aware that anyone or anything (people, snakes, monkies etc') that you take a picture of or with will result in someone asking you for $10-50 for the amazing experience.
It's ok to pay for a picture with a monkey but make up a price in advance and stick to it!

I made up 2 euro for me and my companion combined.

He placed a few monkeys on me, then they said: each monkey and per person 2 euro, so it worked out to 20 euro.

I told them that in their next dream they will get it.
They became aggressive.

I told them that I'm waiting to practice in real life 14 years of martial arts, or in sake of their health we could wait for the cops.

They were quiet after and gave up on the 2 euro.

In Morocco police is extremely strict when people harass tourists as it's their livelihood.

I can imagine many people being intimidated, and the Americans probably tipping them...

Looking to plan a week in Morocco.... Landing Marrakech, Leaving Casablanca

1) Best easiest place for Shabbos?
2) Which cities are a must? (Marrakech, Fez, Casablanca, Rabat etc)
3) Do I have to bring food or can I get kosher in most of the above cities
4) Rent a car for the whole time? or very difficult drive? (I understand that driving in Marrakech is almost impossible)

TY!

1. We were not there Shabbos, but from what I witnessed, Casa has a more Jewish infrastructure, so I assume its easier there, if you can have a host.  But I dont have any info. There is a chabad rabbi. There is also Rav Pinto, try to find his circles info.  Sorry I dont have it.

2. Rabat, is a regular modern city, nothing major. Fez is a must, both from tourist point, plus from spiritual points the Jewish cemetery.  Casa has modern jewish infrastructure, but nothing major from historical points, so only if you have time. Marrakesh is a must the Medina and Jewish cemetery.
Essaouira has a Jewish cemetery, so also if you have time it's good to do it. Agadir I heard it's also nice, I wasn't there yet. Than there is a lot of Kivrei Tzadikim in small cities & villages.

3. The kosher industry needs improvement, but there is many restaurants who claim they are Kosher, but dont have yet a hechsher. Ask your LOR. I brought all food which I needed plus more, just in case.... Royal air maroc let you check in 2 luggage free. So no problem.

4. I rented a car, I dont think it came out cheaper had I taken a driver and paid per day. Public transportation is very convenient there and affordable. So it really depends on you.
