Has anyone flown Air Berlin J with a lap child? I booked it with BA and 24 hours later it still didn't ticket so I called AB and they said infants are not allowed in J and I must call back BA to switch the flight.

Yes. And they even went out of their way to ask on their own behalf the passengers in the front row (unlimited leg space approx. 4 windows) to switch with us to get the bassinet.

But again that was the old J, don't know if the new layout would allow for a bassinet.

They claim it doesn't have Bassinets now,  how did you book it?  Award via BA?

It's not ticketed yet, if the infant is what's stopping it from ticketing then adding it later still be different?

Don't call AB for ticketing issues. Call BA. Don't mention to them that AB told you anything. Let them figure out what the issue is and have it ticketed.

Ok thanks will do.
The real reason I called AB was for seats and food.

Booked return ticket PHL-TLV and the TLV-Munich (flying with connection) segment is on Air Berlin (overall itinerary booked with US Airways). Is there any way to reserve seats for the Air Berlin flight online? Can't seem to find anything on their website, and I'm only able to choose seats on the US Airways website for the actual US Airways flights...

If availability is showing on AA.com, it should be showing on BA.com, if it's not, PUTPAC BA.

If there are bassinets I would do that otherwise 3 and 5 E&F have the same config, unless its easier to separate the kids across the aisle

Thanks. I was in the middle of reserving the seats on Qatar website and my request for 1e went through while my wife's seat 1F was no longer available....weird because it's for a flight 9 months out and both our requests were submitted in one submission...in wondering if there was just some glitch, but now I can't switch her because it says 1F is occupied.

Can I call BA or AB to see if they can put this through? Anyone ever had a similar experience?

I would try with AB first...sounds like a glitch to me

I reserved a seat for an upcoming flight (7/2) online, and despite asking for CC info, it said the charge would be $0.  I then received an email invoice for $17.91 for reserving the seat.  I called AB and they said there's nothing they can do.

Anyone have experience with this??  Any advice?

TLV - Germany Business with Air Berlin

Does this exist? Couldn't find it for money on AB's site.

Just want to confirm.

Thanks.
