When my ties get dirty I usually get rid of them. I find that everytime I clean them it just ruins the tie. Not worth paying to get it cleaned. I try not to eat with my tie on.
Depends how much your ties cost you ....

Its not so much about cost.  I have a hard time buying a tie, mostly because I won't spend what they really cost.  So if I get a deal on a tie, its worth it to me to pay $15 to essentially get a "new" tie.

they are officially from one of the better cleaners in bk, i have used them before and was happy with them. just ask them for their store hours, IIRC they have nutty hours.

There's a cleaners on Coney btwn L&M (across the street from Chaim Berlin),can't remember the name, but I use them for ties. They're pretty expensive which is why I only use them for ties. They've gotten nasty strains out of a couple of ties for me.

If it's a stain try wetting it and sprinkle baby powder, let dry and flick off-repeat.
Works sometimes....
I've used this twice in the past 2 months on real nasty looking tie stains. It works like a dream! Leave the baby powder on for 24 hrs then brush off w/ a hat brush 4 best results.

This sounds crazy but it worked for a wine stain.

Make a solution of 50% water & 50% peroxide. Soak the stain in solution overnight. Let dry.

This actually worked.
