Child email account
« on: February 06, 2013, 06:56:36 PM »
I am looking into options for a child email account that allows for parent monitoring.
The main features I am looking for are:
1. The ability for parent to remotely approve or deny any email sent to children, before it gets to their inbox.
2. The ability to control their contact list.
It seems http://www.kidsemail.org does this, I am wondering if people have experience with them, or if you know of any other good and free/cheap options.
Thanks.

You can have with gmail where all the emails directly fwd to you, and delete from inbox.
How does the child then read the messages in their inbox?

Dirah, better safe than sorry.

Would not give a child internet access. Once you give them a taste you lose the battle.

Let them do what you did growing up. read quality books, socialize, educational activities, family.

You can forward and also keep in original email address.

Depending on whether you want them to know, you can do that and then email it back if it's approved...?

I though so to, but then I realized that they will never get it, because it will go to Dirah first for approval. :)

OT, is it possible to forward emails from a specific sender and not all other emails? (With gmail or yahoo.)

E.g. I'd like only the emails I get from groupon to be forwarded to another address. ..

Go to Settings, then to Filters, type in the email address you want, and set it to be forwarded.
