You will still have to "hack it".
Correct.

i did not realize there were special links, but I just googled it now and the offer is still available, and it had the 18 month language on the top of the page:
Earn 75,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles after making $7,500 in purchases in the first 3 months of account opening

American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles not available if you have had a Citi®/AAdvantage® Executive World EliteTM MasterCard® opened or closed in the past 18 months.
Where did you find it? I can only find the 50K

Just got approved today for a whole bunch of credit cards (Yay…lol) so I tried my luck at citi and got approved for $20K. I don't want to keep it so If I cancel b4 37 days (after spending threshold)
1) Will i still get my bonus
2) will it harm my credit that I will be loosing $20K availability?

Wow, fraud is being a real PITA. Phone that I've been using with every bank (including them) for years is not registered in my name so they refuse to verify. Not letting me verify using other methods either  >:( >:(
Only 1 method of verification?!?!

Jut got the executive card in the mail.
1)Is it safe to make a $7500 swipe then cancel the card tomorrow or keep it open for the 36 day then cancel (to make sure the mile sport)?
2)I was gonna try calling them after I do the swipe and ask them if they can downgrade the card to a different city card (I have offer for 60K miles) because I didn't realize this has a $450 fee or won't work?

1) You should make sure the miles are in your AA account before you cancel the card.
2) if you downgrade before the miles post, I don't think you'll get the bonus.

1) Why are you in such a rush to close it? (you have 37 days from when the AF posts)
2) you can't downgrade the Executive card until 1 year.

What do you gain by downgrading? You still pay the AF?

The below benefit for a Citi Exec card holder? What happens if I check in together, but we are on a different PNR, it's already booked with BA, what can I do? Will they let it slide?
