Im flying continental and this flight will make me "elite".
Question is will i receive the bonus miles for this flight as if I was elite when I flew?

No, but you can try calling the Onepass service center and plead for them to make you elite before the flight in order to get the benefits on the flight.
It works if you get a nice agent and then you will get the bonus miles.

just a heads up for the reg thinkers on this site, if the flight that will put you over is a Refundable Tkt then you have less of a chance that CO will Comp you the status before hand. Why , even thou its an expensive tkt nothing stops you from CXing the tkt after they have comped you the status and getting a Full refund and thereby have the status.

with a non-refundable fare if you dont fly they have your $$, so they know most likely you arent up to any games

Yoel Im not saying this is what you are up to, just I know how people think on here and wanted to tell them basically they arent the 1st ones to think it up and figure with a very expensive tkt theres a better chance they will comp it and then as I said theyd simply CX the tkt and be left with the Status

They'll do it for any level that you could make with the flight.

highly doubt it as they would see very well that its still within the 24 hr CX period, but a YMMV issue
