For DDF members (and I'm sure some can attest) I never charge.

And I've never been charged. And have always been replied to with lots of patience.

Just point out - it is very annoying when I would get a PM of a Q' that could just be posted on the forum, and then my answer would likely help out more than just the person asking.

I help on the forum and pm, however if I have to logon to someone's computer or it brought to me - I charge. I also charge for amex "repair estimates" since I know that amex will give you $ to get an estimate.

I have no problem helping anyone who asks for help, but what I hate are those people who after listening to my advice, they tell me: "listen, I'm not going to visit you in Rikers Island".

I'm assuming that people here are writing about people asking them for help on cc, flights, points, deals....

I personally wouldn't go over to a random friend and ask him to help me out on a certain topic if I had no idea if he was knowledgable on the subject. People ask you advice and questions because they know what you do...

I thought this is exactly what DDF was for.
Also, do the veterans also mind helping other (new) DDFers, or is it only those that dont even do the Hishtadlus that ticks them off?
