Mine was cancelled a couple days ago and asked and got the gift card offer.

I received the cancellation email only today...

I also just got the email, although the order was cancelled on Monday.

I wonder if they have someone sending out these emails manually.

Speak to a supervisor. Tell them you heard they were compensating. Try to get $10 for EACH printer. Be jewish.
