Nah, unusual volume always triggers an alert as with things going out of stock. Humans work there.

Nothing to do with volume per person, if they sell 100 on a regular day and 2000 on a day it obviously sets off an alert

I agree. Though I do feel if only a small quantity were ordered there is more of a chance of the price getting honored.

-1 if you found it in a store you could have  argued that was the price and perhaps gotten a manager to let it through. But if the price is back to normal then you're outta luck.

With all the bargain hunters out there, its not very likely that only a few ppl will order. This price has been on the front page on most deal sites the whole morning!
If it were a regular workday there's a bigger possibility that the first few orders get shipped before being detected. On a sunday they have more time to catch the mistake.
