Amex refunded twice

So booked two tickets... TA refunded one of them..flew the other one successively.  Wanted check so Amex sent a check of $3k a few months ago so account should have a 0 balance.

Now (few months later) see in online account a negative balance of $3k...from the refunded flight...

Question is...calling amex is out of question?..to let them know that I have a negative balance on account and would like to know if they can send me a check (without mentioning the other $3k they sent in mail few months ago)?

Any other suggestion?  Spend $3k on the CC and hope Amex doesnt realize?

If no, check if that ticket is still active...

Why did Amex send you a check for the amount? I've never heard of that.

Asked for it so as not to have a negative balance...cashed the check months ago.  Now see a refund of same amount in account

IMHO i don't think calling for a check or using the funds would be an issue.

Request a check.
Transfer the credit to a different card and then request a check. (Not sure if that would help or not)
Spend 3K.
Wait patiently and see what happens.

Who do you think checks SM's? Computers?

Im guessing when they receive an SM they look into account details a little to know whats going on with account....
