The Israeli post office advertises a service on their website that you can swipe your cc and get dollers in cash.
has anyone heard of this or done it? would it go down as a charge or cash transfer? I tried asking on the phone twice and they had no idea what I was talking about

which post office did you go to? that's not bad at all, an extra 2 ag' per dollar...and you're sure the charge is a dollar charge? you won't get hit with another charge by your cc issuer?

I dont know anything yet. im looking for new ways to meet spend thresholds in israel and this service which is addvertized on their website is one idea. Im quite sure that besides for the yatzig decrease there is also some fee for processing this and i dont know yet if it is considerd a charge or a cash fowerd or somthing else. But if this works out it can really be great.

This would be trickier, but if you have any EXTREMELY TRUSTED relatives/friends in the states, you could perhaps add them as an authorized user to your accounts and have them do things here that you can't do in Israel. You'd probably have to give a cut of your points to them because the game can be time consuming, but it'd make it a lot easier to reach spending thresholds.

true or if your freind is nice maybe he can do it for free
Or you can trade a card with forex with him for card without forex, this way u spend on each others cards, pay each others stetments and both meet thershold and get points.
make sure u really trust this freind. maybe family member is better.

They also advertise that you can buy a reloadable Visa CC in USD.

Did anyone try to load it with a US CC?
