It was like that years ago, that you got the rewards for the year at the end of the year only.

Yeah especially with my CL vs monthly use... I'm debating when I should stop.
Last cycle I spent $11952, my CL is only $11200 and I had multiple payments totalling $12300

My CL is only 10k and I spent over 20k this month gulp. In process of transferring over 10k CL from SPG which is taking 7-10 days for some reason.

Amex has the following rules for transferring CL:
-the card you're transferring to must be at least 60 days old
-the card you're transferring from must be at least 13 months old.

If you don't fit both of those rules, HUCA will not work IME.

I transferred to a brand new card. Tried again but they told me only once in thirty days

i'd think that credit line is the amount that can be out at one time,
not the amount that can be 'borrowed' each month --

Therefore, even if you have only an $11 K cl, if you make 5 payment of $5K per month, then technically, you should be able to charge $15K per month

Suppose you charge $10K, then you pay $12K that week; you now have a $2K credit to continue charging.

I'm aware that not all ccs will give you a credit online, however, one of the ways we were able to expedite our SW to get all 110K complete within 2013 was to pre-pay our bills! (doesn't work for amex, apparently)
