 i received disability checks for maternity leave but then went back earlier than expected. i did not cash the last 2 checks. now they sent me a letter  that if i dont claim it it will go into unclaimed funds....should i claim it?

They didn't tell you not to cash the checks, so why wouldn't you?

I had this situation a few years ago. I initially did not cash the checks  being that I returned to work already. But a year later they sent me a letter saying they will send the money to unclaimed funds, in which case the money would go to me anyway once I claim it. So I cashed the checks and never heard back from them.
