Thinking of planning a week long trip to Amsterdam but feel like that's too long for one city. Any other cities good to pair with it? Was looking into Belgium (1+ hr train to Antwerp, and possible to go to Brussels also) but also open to other cities in the Netherlands. Anywhere else worthwhile to go?
i found Brussels and Antwerp to be beyond boring. check into The Hague/Rotterdam

Thanks for the tip. Does either Amsterdam or Rotterdam have an eruv? Might be going with a baby, so eruv is pretty important.

Amsterdam does

https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1K9JpabMj1Wgdjy6O41Tqk_nvKes&ie=UTF8&hl=en&source=embed&msa=0&ll=52.3006801724843%2C4.7797389999999496&spn=0.251939%2C0.291824&z=11

Don't think Rotterdam does, would highly doubt it.

Does anyone have recommendations for a Shabbat friendly hotel/B&B in Amsterdam? Specifically looking for inside the eruv, close to shuls, and relatively accommodating (manual keys/low floors). Small kitchen area a plus.

Holiday Inn Express - Amsterdam South. Not sure if it's within Eruv, but it's a block from one of the Chabads and all the Kosher restaurants, so I assume it is. Don't know if they have manual keys, but if they don't just do the keycard/tape trick. Plus, they have Kosher breakfast.

Does anyone have experience daveing in the Portuguese shul on Shabbos? I'm debating either staying in City Centre near the Portuguese shul vs. staying in Amstelveen and going to a more "normal" shul? Thoughts? Since it will be a summer shabbos, having better things to do shabbos afternoon is a plus (which I imagine is better in city center).

Never davened there personally, but note that there are other ashkenazi minyanim on shabbat close to city center and/or museum district. List here

Personally I would choose to stay in one of these areas.
I did daven midweek at Gerrit shul, was very friendly and reliable minyan.

Had anyone stayed at the Waldorf? Trying to figure out if it has particular challenges to be at over shabbos.

Planning a trip to Amsterdam late July/Early August, does anyone know if the kosher restaurants close for vacation around that time?

I davened there Shabbos morning. It was a nice community. Mostly Israelis, though. Beautiful shul.

I was in AMS today. Kiosk gave me issues and had to wait  1 hr + for manual checkin. Even the bag drop looked like a crazy line. Arrived at the airport 3 hrs before flight to NYC, had less than 30 minutes in lounge.

Full TR of Amsterdam coming.

Do all the restaurants and shops in Amsterdam take CC these days?

I read in the past some of the restaurants did not
