Do all the restaurants and shops in Amsterdam take CC these days?

I read in the past some of the restaurants did not
The bakery was cash only, as was Hacarmel. Everything else was credit IIRC.

Seems like no one tried the Intercontinental Amsterdam (Amstel) (or IC Amsterdam) based on searches, anyone have any experience there? thinking of using my IC nights for a last hurrah.
Also, are there any shabbos meal options other than chabad (any other shuls have meals?) for some variety?

I used my free night there. It is very nice but the rooms are very dated. They upgraded me to Amstel view, which was amazing, the room is giant, and the bathroom is really nice. It's out of the eruv btw.

Personally, of the 3 hotels I stayed in (Andaz, Hyatt Regency, and IC), I enjoyed the Regency the most, though admittedly, the views are non existent and you need to use the metro to get anywhere (IC is also metro away from anything).

I don't think any other shul in city center has meals. You can buy takeout from Bakery Rimon on Friday morning. Portuguese shul should have a light Kiddush.

thx so helpful! Didnt realize a shul bw chabad an portuguese would be out of eruv! Still dont think the eruv will be deciding factor for me, other option for my last use of the IC unlimited nights is a Kimpton all the way up at top of eruv and 40 minutes from chabad. Seems like the IC was renovated recently per reviews, when did u stay? I had an amazing upgrade experience at the IC le Grand Paris on my wife and i's prior getaway so we are hoping for similar, and prefer the grandness, plus the pool is really enticing.

I was there a month ago, my room was not renovated. That being said, the room was fine and the common areas are extremely nice.

Worth noting that the Amsterdam Eiruv is quiet questionable halachically

It was redone a few years ago. I think it's better now.

Had a great experience at the waldorf, which is in a great overall location and has amazing standard rooms. But that doesnt help you much, as you're looking for IHG.

Stayed at IC Amstel in November (not for shabbos) and they were doing renovations. Rooms and hotel were nice. Good indoor pool.

Anyone ever stay at Hyatt regency?
I stayed a few times at the Crowne Plaza, very central location, I do not think the Hyatt Regency was open then, this is a pretty good review of it, in general.

Staying at the holiday inn express over Shabbat.  Has anyone made the walk from the hotel to the chabad to daven and for dinner?  Google maps says it is an hour walk.  Is that correct and is it safe?
Is there a closer shul which offers shabbat dinner?  Is there a close shul with a shabbat kiddush, not necessarily a lunch?  Where is there to walk and see on Shabbat afternoon near the hotel?

Anyone ever stay at Hyatt regency?
I did for 4 nights in May. It's really good. I was booked as a GOH, got upgraded to Regency club room. Club is basic but also had full breakfast. We found fruit, coffee, and oatmeal to eat. There's also a nightly happy hour where they bring out alcohol.

Location is not so central but it's close to the metro. Staff and service was nice and the hotel while new, isn't crazy modern. No views to speak of. It's a good deal at 15k points.

It's close to the Portuguese Shul but the hotel is out of the eruv.

Portuguese has davening and Kiddush as well as Rav Aharon Schuster shul (near Vondelpark). I assume you're talking about the HI Express near city center and not in Bieldenvurst?

Sorry, the holiday inn express in south Amsterdam is the hotel we are staying at, not the one in the center of the city.
