It really depends on their interests. Theres a great museum, a beautiful synagogue, Keukenhof, Canal boat tour, the Heineken experience, zaans shanz etc. All different experiences. Hard to say one is better than the other

I went last year April with my family.
Keukonhof was the highlight.
One day we went to Efteling, we enjoyed very much.
Zanch shantz we didn't enjoy.
We stayed at the Hilton, it's not in the city so wasn't difficult driving.
When we went to the city we took public transportation.
We rented bikes right next to the hotel and drove to a massive park (I think the biggest in Holland).

Anything to do with 3.5 hour layover? Travelling in J if that makes a difference.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Enough time to take train to city center and turn around.

What didn't you like about Zaanse Schans? I'm planning to go in May (2 adults).

Going into each windmill was getting a little boring.
Not that we regreted going, but I wouldn't go a second time, for a first time maybe worth going especially it's something very popular.
Someone suggested I should go afterwards to volendam - Eden.
This I don't think it's worth it for a first time either.
We just saw people eating fish and heering..

Is there any secondary marketplace for Anne Frank House tickets?

When I was there (a few years ago) we just walked right up and got tickets. Not sure if it was a fluke or not

Seems like they changed the rules last year. No on site sales.
