Going with 5 kids. I have this 13 hr stopover. Does anyone know if I have to take my luggage out in Amsterdam, or will I be able to check it through all the way to Israel?
Also I have been reading about the restaurants, does anyone know what the hechsherim are?
Thanks.

For meaty Habaron and hacarmel are considered good, they're under the hechsher of Rav Wolf.

Sounds like it's time to start a kosher kiosk at AMS

If anyone is going to Amsterdam I can lend you a museum pass that'll give you access to basically all the museums in the Netherlands. PM me if you'd like me to mail it to you.

*please don't post about ethics* (I'm just offering)
So I received a bunch of requests to use the museum card. Here is a list of museums its good for. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museumkaart#Amsterdam

I am trying to figure out if there is a place in Amsterdam that each person can leave it after they use it. Anyone have suggestions? It'll be a lot easier then making a schedule and figuring out who has to mail it to who... Maybe I should call one of the restaurants and ask them to hold the 2 cards and say if anyone asks for it just give it to them. It helps the restaurant because odds are the people will go there upon arrival and order food... Any locals have advice?

I'm headed to Amsterdam today at the 6:10 pm flight from Newark. Have the 13 hour stop over. Was planning on going straight to the Anne Frank Museum, hopefully getting tickets online for that. Can anyone help me plan the rest of the day, which things are close by, and how to get there... Thanks! I also want to get to the Jewish Museum and Quarter, as well as a couple restaurants, and maybe a canal ride, and just to save money on the transportation, I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out an order so I can walk and minimize long and expensive rides... Thanks!

I assume in the past 2 months since the delta deal many of you have been to amsterdam for 12 hours. Any more insight on where to go and what to do. Also, does anyone know any of the restaurants that has a decent heimishe hechsher?

i was, but my main concern Was my second question, and I figured since I'm asking already based on experience from people that were there, I might as well ask for my first question. although the thread and the wiki have so much information but I figured that hearing from someone that was actually there for just those 12 hours could have good insight into what to be covered then
